Let’s not forget, we are only human. Our mind and brain is very complex and it can be very complicated to understand at times. Life can often be frustrating and overwhelming and I will make the vow to stand by you and root for you through the process of working through eliminating triggers and gaining skills.
I possess the skills, expertise and compassion to help individuals with a wide range of internal issues and concerns. Taking a person-centered and empathetic approach; I build a strong therapeutic relationship with my clients to help them reach their greatest potential and achievement of goals. My modality includes a strong non-judgmental approach as well as a trusting and validating environment. My techniques also integrate CBT and DBT; deconstructing cognitive distortions (changing our thought processes) with the emphasis on utilizing mindfulness techniques to increase inner peace.
I have worked with clients in various mental health settings with problems ranging from situational life stress to severe mental illness. Some special interests include: anxiety disorders, depression, PTSD, life transitions, and personality disorders among children, adolescents, and adults.
