Life is a journey and every small step a client takes in therapy is a step in the right direction. My goal is to provide an empathic and engaging style throughout treatment while providing a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space as we navigate your journey together. I believe in a client-centered approach and that clients are the change-makers who hold the power to guide their own journey.
I believe that each person has unique impressions and experiences, so my treatment is tailored to their individual needs. I’ve trained to work with all ages and enjoy working with adolescents and adults. I have assisted clients in navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions and trauma. I have experience in addressing the mental, emotional, and psychological issues facing members of the LGBTQ+ community. I am sensitive to multicultural issues and welcome collaborating with clients from a variety of backgrounds to ensure my approach to therapy is tailored to their individual needs.
My educational background includes a MSW from DePaul University in Chicago, IL and a BSW from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, IL. I have received training in Interpersonal Psychotherapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to provide clients with Evidence Based Practices.I have close to a decade of experience in social work, a commitment to servicing those in need and a passion for providing psychotherapy to a diverse population of clients. I hope to work with you in exploring your emotions, concerns, experiences and significant events to help you find some relief and develop long-term solutions that can make life’s journey a little easier.
